Why do you have to look for effective depression help if you are a cardiac patient? Learn how your emotional state affects your desease and what alternative methods (guided imagery or progressive relaxation) you should consider. In a huge study by Duke’s John Barefoot, PhD and his team, 1250 cardiac patients with coronary artery disease were assessed over a span of nearly 20 years for their levels of depression, to see if the degree of depression correlated in any way with mortality rates, and, if so, which features packed an especially mean punch. (Other research had already established the connection between depression and heart disease, but this study was designed to tease out what elements did the damage.)

Tom is a nine year old boy studying in some school. His parents are very worried about the way he behaves. Almost everyday they hear complain from school on his abysmal performance. Tom teachers are also equally worried.
Tom lacks attention, and cannot concentrate on anything even for few moments. He doesn’t seem to listen even when spokes directly, and time and again fails to complete his homework and other duties.Besides, he often moves his hands or feet, squirms excessively, has difficulty in waiting for his turn, and blurts out answers before questions have been completed.

Women with history of smoking and alcoholism are less sensitive to sweet taste.

Researcher has found that cigarette smoking and having a family history of alcoholism have different effects on sweet-taste perception and food cravings. For this study, researchers examined two groups of women between 21 and 40 years of age: 27 current smokers (18 had a positive family history of alcoholism), and 22 women who had never smoked in their lives (9 had a positive family history of alcoholism).

Well all chocolate lovers have to thank brewers for making such a sweet thing as researchers have found that the origins of chocolate was from the makers of the drink more than 3,000 years ago.The researchers believe that chocolate was discovered by accident by Central American Indians making beer when they used the pulp of cacao seedpods while making the drink.It has suprised all of us that people started consuming chocolate 500 years earlier than thought.
